Ground Forces Festival

The 2026 Ground Forces Festival is South Korea’s largest military cultural festival, hosted by the Army. It is a nonprofit event organized for the public good—to promote the Army’s development and future policies to the public, enhance trust in the military, and spread positive values—and will be held at the Gyeryongdae Airfield in South Chungcheong Province for five days, from Thursday, October 1, through Monday, October 5 (Mon) at the Gyeryongdae Airfield in South Chungcheong Province. Marking its 22nd anniversary this year, the 2026 Ground Forces Festival will feature the theme “The Republic of Korea Army: Protecting the Public’s Daily Lives,” including exhibitions and ride-along experiences with the latest South Korean and U.S. combat equipment, demonstrations of the Army TIGER+ and drone robots. Visitors can also experience firsthand the Army’s AI- and advanced science and technology-based combat systems, as well as the diverse facets of the evolving Army, through demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on activities at the Army Policy Promotion Pavilion. In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of high-quality military cultural performances, including military band and honor guard performances, taekwondo demonstrations, military police vehicle maneuver demonstrations, performances by the Army Performance Team, and a road parade.
