The Book Festival is the signature book festival of Cheonan's libraries, bringing reading, hands-on programs and play together with libraries, clubs, bookshops, publishers and other reading organizations. It runs as a reading culture event all residents can enjoy, with author talks, performances, hands-on booths, side events and an outdoor library. This edition is held at the sunken plaza in Cheonan Samgeori Park, with an opening ceremony, an awards ceremony for avid readers, a family musical and an ensemble performance. At the outdoor library you can rest and read comfortably under the autumn sun. There are also talks with Han So-gon, author of 'Gochujang Errand', chosen as Cheonan's Book of the Year for 2026, and Lee Seo-su, author of 'Dance Anyway'. Sixteen hands-on booths and 13 bookshop and publisher booths offer a range of reading activities. Entry is free.
