Icheon Ginseng Festival

Launched in 2015 to promote the premium ginseng grown in Icheon—Korea’s largest ginseng-producing region—the Icheon Ginseng Festival changed its name to the Icheon Ginseng Health Festival starting in 2025, with the aim of establishing itself as the capital region’s premier ginseng health festival by integrating the theme of health with ginseng. The Icheon Ginseng Festival is a special event held amid the charm of autumn where visitors can not only enjoy ginseng but also prioritize their health. It offers visitors the opportunity to see and purchase high-quality Icheon ginseng with its deep, rich aroma at great prices. In addition, the festival offers participatory content for people of all ages—from ginseng tastings and ginseng health kimchi workshops, and ginseng foot baths—all designed to let everyone, regardless of age or gender, experience ginseng firsthand, enjoy it, and improve their health. The festival also features a variety of stage performances by guest artists and interactive events like ginseng auctions, which enhance the festive atmosphere. Furthermore, it is one of Icheon’s premier festivals where visitors can sample healthy dishes made with fresh ginseng, such as fried ginseng and ginseng makgeolli—all made with fresh ginseng.
