Han River Paper Airplane Festival

This year’s festival, themed “Autumn Light Playground,” features the Han River Paper Airplane Flying Contest—where visitors can fold and launch paper airplanes along the Han River on a fall day—as well as a lecture and demonstration by the national paper airplane team, hands-on activities for the whole family, performances, photo zones, photo-themed events, and on-site competitions. For the Paper Airplane Contest—the festival’s highlight—registration is limited to a maximum of 700 participants on a first-come, first-served basis due to the one-day nature of the event, and applications are accepted exclusively online. For visitors who were unable to register for the competition, “on-site challenge events” will be held this year; the event categories will be announced on-site the day of the festival, and anyone present can participate.
