Animal Happiness Festival

The 2026 Seoul Animal Happiness Festa is a participatory festival held to commemorate Seoul Animal Protection Day, where citizens can experience a culture of coexistence between humans and animals. Held from October 17 to 18 at the plaza in front of the Mulbit Stage in Yeouido Hangang Park, the festival features a variety of programs that can be enjoyed not only by pet owners but also by non-pet owners and families. These include the “Animal Happiness Run,” where dogs and their owners walk together along the Han River, “Seol Chae-hyun’s Pet Talk Live,” where participants share everyday concerns about their pets; the “Second Chance at Life Show-and-Tell Contest,” featuring special stories of adopted dogs and their owners; and the “Pimky Red Carpet Adoption Event,” which introduces animals waiting for new families. In addition, a variety of on-site programs are planned, including the “Animal Protection PLAY Zone,” where visitors can experience various animal welfare issues—such as those involving wildlife, farm animals, laboratory animals, service animals, and animals in captivity—through games and missions, as well as behavioral and health consultations, animal registration, campaigns for adopting abandoned animals, a pet culture true-or-false quiz, and photo zones. This citizen-participatory animal culture festival goes a step beyond simply loving animals, offering an easy and enjoyable way for attendees to experience how humans and animals can live happily together.
