Citywide Energy Walk Festival to Commemorate the Daejeon World Solar Congress

The “Citywide Energy Walk Festival” is an eco-friendly energy participation program organized to commemorate the 2026 Daejeon World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy (WCPEC-9). It is an event where participants can walk together through downtown Daejeon in the fall, experience firsthand the value of energy and the environment, and reflect on a sustainable future. This event is a walking program where anyone can participate enjoyably without any competitive ranking. Participants will start at Daejeon Expo Citizens’ Square, walk through the Hanbat Arboretum area, and complete mobile stamp missions along the way. By completing a total of four missions via smartphone QR code verification, participants will receive a completion reward and a digital completion certificate. Alongside the walking program, various other activities will be held to help participants learn about energy in an easy and fun way. Taking place on November 15, 2026, at Daejeon Expo Citizens’ Plaza, this event is a special day where citizens can walk, learn, and experience together, naturally gaining an understanding of the importance of sustainable energy and the environment. It is a citizen-participatory energy festival where each person’s steps come together to build a greener tomorrow.
