Held around Jeongjo Hyo Park, the Jeongjo Hyo Culture Festival is Hwaseong Special City's leading historical and cultural festival, combining historical value with family-friendly activities. Visitors can enjoy a range of performances and traditional hands-on programs. The signature program, the Hyeonryungwon Cheonwon reenactment, recreates King Jeongjo's epic relocation of the tomb of his father, Crown Prince Sado, to Yungneung in Hwaseong, known as the most auspicious site in Joseon, and symbolizes the king's profound filial devotion. On October 4, the King Jeongjo Royal Procession, reenacting the 1795 Eulmyo royal visit, departs from Dongtan Central Park in a grand parade that blends tradition and modernity. Held in Hwaseong Special City, the "city of filial piety," the festival offers a special time of history, culture and family.
