The Siheung Youth Club Festival is a participatory youth festival created to encourage self-directed club activity and to widen exchange between youth clubs and the community. Young people active across many fields — civic participation, volunteering, academics, sports, dance, bands and the culture and arts — plan and run it themselves, and it has become a place where they share their talents and abilities with the community. It is the largest youth club festival in the country, made together by 584 clubs and some 7,800 young people taking part in Siheung's youth club support program, and presents a range of content including performances, hands-on programs, exhibitions and exchange programs. By working with young people and international exchange organizations from abroad as well as from Korea, it widens opportunities for global cultural exchange and is growing into an international youth festival where many cultures and values exist side by side.
