The 18th Buan Gomso Jeotgal & King Prawn Festival is Buan's signature seafood festival, themed on the rich marine resources of Gomso Bay and local specialties. It offers a variety of food and hands-on programs to showcase the tradition and quality of Gomso jeotgal (salted seafood) and to let visitors enjoy the taste of in-season king prawns. At the festival grounds, visitors can meet local seafood including Gomso jeotgal and king prawns, and experience Buan's flavors and culture through sales and tastings of jeotgal and seafood and visitor-participation programs. Gomso jeotgal in particular is a traditional food made for generations with the sea salt and natural environment of Gomso Bay, and a highlight is the chance to find many kinds of jeotgal in one place. Along with king prawns, an autumn seafood in season, visitors can enjoy distinctive local food and the festive atmosphere with family, partners and friends.
