'Changgyeonggung Palace Night Banquet' is a family-friendly night-time court banquet program, a modern reinterpretation of the banquet Crown Prince Hyomyeong held out of deep filial devotion to his father, King Sunjo. Participants become civil and military officials and court ladies of the Joseon era, dress in court attire and join the banquet, tasting court confectionery with their families, watching traditional performances and taking part in a range of traditional programs. In 2026 it runs for 20 days in total: Thursday May 7 to Sunday May 17 in the first half and Thursday September 24 to Sunday October 4 in the second. On Parents' Day and over the Chuseok holiday you can walk the old palace at night with the people you love and make something worth remembering.
