Korea Science Festival with Jeonbuk Science Festival

The Korea Science Festival with Jeonbuk Science Festival is a science festival arranged so that residents can experience 'physical AI', one of Jeonbuk's future industries, at first hand. It runs for three days from October 16 to 18, 2026, at the main athletics ground and Harim Mission Hall of Jeonju University. Under the theme 'A world in motion — opening a new future with physical AI', it is built so that AI can be experienced not as technology confined to a screen but as technology that actually moves and operates in the real world through robots and sensors. Run in connection with the Korea Science Festival, it involves the national science museums along with leading research institutes and universities from outside the province, with widening residents' opportunities to enjoy science culture as its main direction. It presents research results from advanced fields including AI, bio, energy and mobility as hands-on content pitched to children, young people and the general public, and, in cooperation with the Jeonbuk Office of Education, has schools across the province run hands-on booths themselves, making it a participatory science festival with events for visitors to join. The main programs comprise an opening ceremony, the Jeonbuk Science and Technology Award and Student Science Invention Award ceremonies, themed exhibitions, and science and technology programs and performances. It is hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, Jeonbuk State and the Jeonbuk Office of Education, and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, Jeonbuk Technopark and the Jeonbuk Science Culture Hub Center.
