'World Heritage Joseon Royal Tombs Festival' is a special culture event created to convey the history and dignity of the UNESCO World Heritage Joseon royal tombs and to let people experience them more closely. Through performances, tours, hands-on programs and exhibitions spanning tradition and the present, you can encounter the living history and culture the tombs hold. Begun in 2020 and now in its seventh edition, the 2026 festival opens on Friday October 16 and runs through Sunday October 25. This year in particular it presents newly composed programs based on the distinctive stories and historical value each tomb holds. Following those stories through the grounds and experiencing the various content on offer, you are given a special time to meet the historical value and beauty of the Joseon royal tombs with all five senses.
