Soyanggang River Culture Festival

The 47th Soyanggang River Culture Festival is a local culture festival held to uncover and pass on Chuncheon's own culture and to create a place of harmony that residents enjoy together. It runs from October 17 to 18, 2026, around Chuncheon City Hall Plaza, presenting Chuncheon's handed-down culture including the Yongsin-gut rite and the Udubeol Daedong Cheonryeop fishing play. There are street processions with residents, culture school performances, stages for youth and children, invited performances and folk arts troupe performances, along with programs residents can join directly such as random dance, folk games, rice-cake pounding and making and craft programs. It is a culture event built from performances and hands-on programs so that generations can experience and share local traditional culture together.
