*Food details for the 2026 festival are being updated.* The Gangneung Coffee Festival grew out of everyday memories that began with the coffee vending machines at Anmok Beach, together with the cafe and roasting culture built up by the city's coffee artisans. Launched in 2009, it has grown into a place that connects Gangneung's nature, its living culture and its local businesses, and that holds the city's own identity. Residents, merchants, coffee professionals and visitors meet to enjoy coffee and share Gangneung's stories through humanities, art and local content. A cup of coffee drunk while looking at the sea has grown into a culture the whole city shares, and the festival is a living local cultural asset conveying the area's history, people's tastes and the community's pride.
