The Gochang Moyangseong Fortress Festival is a history and culture festival built around Moyangseong, the best-preserved fortress of its kind in Korea. Its signature program is Dapseong Nori, developed as a hands-on program from the legend that one circuit of the walls cures leg ailments, two bring long life free of illness and three bring rebirth in paradise. There is also Night Dapseong Ganggangsullae Moonlight, mixing the wall circuit with the Ganggangsullae circle dance for residents and visitors together; a street parade with some 1,000 residents representing past, present and future; Returns 1453, a journey into the past wandering inside Gochang Eupseong; and food and direct-sale markets using Gochang's local specialties.
