Goseong Pollock Festival

The Goseong Pollock Festival is a local culture festival that rediscovers the flavor and style of Goseong and the romance of its sea, centered on pollock, a historical and cultural asset of Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do. In 2026 it runs along the beach at Geojin-eup 11-ri under three headings: 'discovering pollock', 'discovering residents' and 'discovering the sea'. Along with a pollock gourmet zone, a self-cooking zone and live cooking by chefs, it presents programs for eating, seeing and enjoying pollock, including pollock memory stories, Goseong fishing songs, chainsaw art on talisman pollock and a pollock playground. There are also stages made together by residents and various participants: resident performances, invited singers, talent shows by soldiers and young people, and the Pollock Village Broadcasting Station. In addition you can enjoy hands-on programs and performances that draw on the appeal of Geojin Beach, including a pollock beach bar, a sea playground, bare-handed fish catching, a navy ship tour, an AI music festival and a silent DJ. Programs run across the mural stage, the main stage and the sea stage, with participatory programs linking the festival grounds and the wider Geojin area, including the Baekseom sea bus and a stamp tour.
