The 3rd Chudo Island Film Festival is a participatory island film festival held on Chudo, a beautiful island in Tongyeong. Made together by island villagers and artists, it offers the special experience of watching films to the sound of waves under a starry sky. It screens residency films made by directors who stayed on Chudo, along with features and shorts on the themes of longing and nature, shown in an open-air theater by the night sea and indoors. Beyond the screenings there are programs such as 'Ibagu Trekking', walking with residents and hearing the island's stories, 'Seasonal Seafood Table Sunset Dining' and GV talks between filmmakers and audiences. It is a warm, open festival that rediscovers the island's own scenery and feeling through the medium of a film festival, with residents, audiences and filmmakers mingling freely.
