Marking the 580th anniversary of the promulgation of the Hunminjeongeum, the Hangeul Day Culture Events are held from October 9 to 10, 2026, around the Royal Tomb of King Sejong. The events are arranged to share King Sejong's achievements and the value of Hangeul and to reflect on the meaning of Hangeul Day. For children and families there is a special 'Catch! Teenieping' show and a 'Common Siblings' meet-and-greet performance, along with hands-on and exhibition programs on the theme of Hangeul. Across the tomb grounds, 'Rest Stop Small Concerts' present culture and arts performances. Alongside these, hands-on programs on Hangeul and King Sejong offer a way to encounter the history and value of the script. Using the historical and cultural spaces of the royal tomb for performances, hands-on programs and exhibitions, the event offers a chance to engage culturally with King Sejong and the meaning of Hangeul on Hangeul Day.
