Ssokssokdeul-i Festival

The National Theater of Korea's Ssokssokdeul-i Festival is a festival program run by the theater's Stage Art Support Center. It is designed so that people can encounter the performing arts easily in everyday life. The festival runs regularly on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, and admission to all the performing arts programs it presents is free. It is run with the aim of widening local residents' opportunities to enjoy culture. Performances take place at 'Ssok', the experience theater on the first floor of the Stage Art Support Center. Tickets are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis at the on-site information desk from noon on the day of the performance, and may run out early depending on the number of seats. The festival is built from dynamic performances that anyone can watch comfortably and that every generation can enjoy together. Participating artists present their own distinctive styles on a foundation of popular genres.
