'K-Military Festival: Battle of Chuncheon', held jointly by the Army's 2nd Corps and the city of Chuncheon, runs for three days from Friday October 9 to Sunday October 11 around Chuncheon Waterside Park. It is an event to reflect on the historical significance of the Battle of Chuncheon, fought around the city in the opening days of the Korean War, and to honor the sacrifice and devotion of the fallen and of veterans. With a victory commemoration ceremony, performances and exhibitions, military equipment programs and citizen participation events, the whole family can learn about and take part in honoring national defense.
