Yecheon Samgangnaru Tavern Festival

Held around Chuseok, the Samgangnaru Tavern Festival is set at Samgang Jumak, Korea's last surviving tavern inn, and is enjoyed by those returning to their home towns and by visitors alike. The 2026 Yecheon Samgangnaru Tavern Festival runs for three days from September 25 to 27 around the Samgang Culture Complex under the theme 'The tavern opens again, Samgang comes alive'. Drawing on the history and culture of Samgang Jumak, once a resting place for peddlers and travellers crossing at the ferry landing, it offers a Peddlers' Hanmadang with actors costumed as peddlers, tavern keepers, hunters and merchants, along with participatory programs including a Samgang quiz bell on the area's history and culture, a personality test and a slow postbox. There are also activities such as making dalgona candy, shooting, spinning wheel and hanbok programs and a kids zone, plus performances by local artists, busking and children's shows.
